Jason has been exploring the arts in many forms throughout his life: pen to paper, brush to canvas, camera to print. He broadened his passion for photography with a formal education at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. The work at FIT provided an opportunity for Jason to refine his abilities and techniques in order to more masterfully capture the most important component of his work; emotion.
Jason's ultimate goal when creating his images is to embody every element of a true point in time. He strives to make his pictures more than just that record of a particular day, but to make them evoke a powerful feeling of nostalgia. His goal is to capture those moments; perfect and imperfect, happy, funny, playful, yet also maybe embarrassing and scary at the same time. These are true life moments; real feelings. These are the tiny glimpses of life that need to be treasured. And sometimes, without photographs, can be forgotten. Photography, for this reason, is one of the most powerful of art forms.
Jason truly honors the level of responsibility and the faith that our clients invest in us each time they invite us into their lives, into their homes and into their memories. The ultimate compliment for an artist is a client who respects their work. And as the artist, Jason's intent is to create an end product that is both emotional and satisfying. In his images he strives to convey the essence of the client for those who know them best, their family and friends. The moments are not forced, they are raw, unique and personal.
Jason's commitment is to continue to learn and evolve both personally and professionally. He strives to grow as an artist, to experience life and to make his two little girls proud.
